Following the boat naming event on 9th June 2019, Yare Boat Club continues to grow as sponsors invest in new training and elite boats.
Local business, Face to Face Finance, has sponsored the purchase of two ‘Swift’ training boats, which will help new novice rowers take to the water and gain greater confidence. Dedicated to the company owners, Julie and Ralph Hunt, the boats have already become a key feature of the Club’s ‘Learn to Row’ programme.
Specialists in pensions, investments and inheritance tax, Face to Face Finance are independent financial advisers based on the outskirts of Norwich. As part of their annual sponsorship, the team at Face to Face Finance will also join the Club for a team-building day, where they will learn to row and get their first experience out rowing on the Norfolk Broads!
Additionally, at the sponsorship unveiling event, Club Chairman Anthony Meynell unveiled a brand new Janousek quad/four boat dedicated to his company ‘Berry Hall Woodlands’. This new boat will be a feature of local, regional and national Regatta and Head of the River events which members of the Club attend each year.
Speaking about the new sponsorship, Club Captain Shelagh Tubby said
“On behalf of Yare Boat Club, I would like to thank Face to Face Finance, for their generous purchase of the stable single sculling boats. We have a steady stream of novices from our successful learn to row program who will use the boats until they build the confidence, agility, fitness and river craft skills to transition to a fine racing single scull. The club also supports an active recreational rowing section, who will also have the opportunity to use these safe stable boats.
We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Face to Face Finance in the years to come, there is always rowing equipment to replace, repair, upgrade or purchase. Thank you.”
